Terms of Service

The terms covering your use of The Caddy — the app, the Apple Watch companion and this website, including how Pro passes and gift codes work.

Last updated 20 August 2026

These terms cover your use of The Caddy — the mobile app, the Apple Watch companion and this website. The Caddy is operated by Hoome Holdings Limited. By creating an account or buying a Pro pass you agree to them.

Who we are

The Caddy is operated by Hoome Holdings Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, at Unit 3, Lea Hall Enterprise Park, Rugeley, WS15 1LH.

You can reach us at help@thecaddy.co.uk for anything about the service, or admin@hoome.co.uk for data and business matters.

Your account

You need a free account to score rounds, and the same account works in the app and on this website.

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account, and you should tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be at least 13 years old to use The Caddy.

You can delete your account at any time by emailing us. Deleting it removes your rounds, statistics and swing videos — see our privacy policy for exactly what goes.

What the free app includes

Scoring for stroke, match, stableford and skins rounds, solo or in a group; the Apple Watch companion; friends and leaderboards; trophies; and your round history.

These are free and we intend to keep them free. If that ever changes we will tell you before it affects you.

The Caddy Pro

Pro adds a WHS-style handicap index, strokes-gained analysis, greens-in-regulation, scrambling and putting insights, the AI post-round recap, AI swing analysis and AI coaching plans.

Every Pro pass is a ONE-OFF PURCHASE for a fixed period — one day, one month or one year. Nothing renews automatically, there is no subscription, and there is nothing for you to cancel. When the period ends, Pro simply stops unless you buy again.

Buying while you already hold Pro extends what you have rather than replacing it.

Pro can also be earned for free: finishing a group round with two other players unlocks 24 hours for everyone who played, winning a group round earns a one-day pass to give away, and inviting a friend who goes on to play three rounds gives you both seven days. Earned days are a gesture, not a purchase, and we may change or withdraw them.

Buying Pro

In the app on iPhone, Pro is sold by Apple through in-app purchase. Apple takes the payment, Apple issues the receipt, and Apple handles refunds — we cannot refund an App Store purchase.

On this website, Pro is sold by us and payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Refunds for website purchases are handled by us — see our refunds policy.

Prices are shown before you pay and include VAT where it applies. We may change prices, but never for a pass you have already bought.

Gift codes

A gift code bought on this website is a prepaid Pro pass that has not been assigned to anyone yet. You do not need an account to buy one.

Each code can be redeemed once, by one account. It stays valid for one year from purchase if it is not redeemed. Once redeemed, the Pro days are on that account and cannot be moved to another.

Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

Look after the code. Anyone who has it can redeem it, so treat it like cash — we cannot tell whether the person redeeming it is the person you meant to give it to.

Coaching and AI

Swing analysis, coaching plans and round recaps are generated automatically. They are guidance based on the data you give us, not instruction from a qualified golf professional, and they can be wrong.

Treat them as a prompt to think about your game. Do not treat them as a diagnosis, and stop if anything causes you pain — you play golf, and follow any drill, at your own risk.

Your handicap index is calculated in a WHS-like way for your own use. It is not an official CONGU, WHS or club handicap and cannot be used for competition entry.

Course data

We hold scorecards for over 15,000 clubs, and we do our best to keep them right. We cannot promise that every par, stroke index, rating or slope is accurate or current.

Where we hold no scorecard for a course, you can still score your round against an estimated par. Those rounds are marked, and they are left out of your handicap index and any statistic measured against par, because the par is a guess.

Fair use

Use The Caddy for playing and improving at golf. Do not try to break into other people’s accounts, interfere with the service, scrape it in bulk, resell access, or use it to break the law.

Do not attempt to obtain Pro other than by buying it or earning it the ways described above.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of these, and where an account has been used dishonestly we may withdraw Pro days obtained that way.

Availability

We aim to keep The Caddy running, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption. Features may change, and we may retire ones that do not earn their place.

Swing videos are kept for your ten most recent analyses and older ones are deleted automatically. The written coaching is kept.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Otherwise, and because The Caddy is a consumer service, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.

We are not liable for lost scores, missed competitions, or decisions you make about your game based on the app.

Your rights as a consumer

If you are a consumer in the UK, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect, including rights about digital content that is faulty or not as described.

You also have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase made on this website. Because Pro starts immediately, that right works in a specific way — our refunds policy explains it in full.

For advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards office.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.

A pass you have already bought is governed by the terms that applied when you bought it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.
